Licensed & specialized

Every therapist on our team is fully licensed and trained in evidence-based approaches for anxiety, depression, and trauma-informed care.

Flexible & accessible

Daytime, evening, and virtual appointments so therapy can fit into an already full life—not the other way around.

Personalized to you

We take time to understand your story, identities, and values so your therapy feels safe, affirming, and truly supportive.

How It Works

A simple, supportive first step.

We know reaching out can feel intimidating. Our free consultation is a low-pressure space to ask questions, understand your options, and decide what feels right for you.

  • 1. Share what you’re looking for. A brief form or quick phone call tells us what’s bringing you in and any preferences you have.
  • 2. Get matched with a therapist. Our intake team recommends a therapist based on your needs, schedule, and identities.
  • 3. Ask questions in a free consult. Meet your therapist, talk about goals, and decide if you’d like to schedule ongoing sessions.

Names and details are changed to protect privacy, but the experiences are real.

“I used to wake up every day with a knot in my stomach. My therapist helped me understand my anxiety and gave me tools to work with it instead of against it. I feel more grounded and present than I have in years.”

— A., 33, individual therapy for anxiety

“I thought therapy was just venting. Instead, I feel like I have a partner in my growth. I’m setting boundaries, saying no, and actually enjoying my time off for the first time.”

Questions, Answered

What to know before you reach out.

If you don’t see your question here, include it in your form or ask during your free consultation—we’re happy to walk you through it.

What happens during the free consultation?

The free 15-minute consultation is a brief conversation—either by phone or secure video—where you can share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and get a sense of whether our practice and a specific therapist feel like a good fit. It’s not a full therapy session, and there’s no pressure to commit to ongoing counseling.

Do you take my insurance?

We are in-network with some major insurance plans and provide superbills for out-of-network benefits when applicable. During or before your consult, our intake team can help verify your benefits and review your expected costs so there are no surprises.

How soon can I start therapy if I decide to move forward?

Most new clients are able to schedule an initial therapy session within 1–2 weeks, depending on therapist availability and your scheduling needs. If you have more flexibility, we can often find something sooner.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. Progress Counseling Group follows all HIPAA guidelines for protecting your privacy. There are a few safety-related exceptions required by law (such as imminent risk of harm), which your therapist will explain. We’re always happy to answer questions about confidentiality before you begin.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer both secure telehealth sessions and in-person appointments, depending on your location and therapist. Many clients choose a mix of both for added flexibility.

You don’t have to wait to get started.

A 15-minute conversation can help you understand your options and take the initial step foward.
